U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force
The U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force is a multijurisdictional law enforcement task force that serves the citizens of Ross, Fayette, Highland, and Hocking counties along with the Cities of Waverly and Circleville. The task force also provides drug enforcement services to the 195,521 residence of the communities we serve. The task force provides covert operations and interdiction services to the agencies we serve. The task force also provides a direct outreach program, working with the Post Overdose Response Team and other Quick Response Teams in the communities we serve. This approach to public services seeks to create and maintain strategic collaborations with its participating law enforcement agencies, community leaders, community stakeholders and members of the public.
PARTICIPATING AGENCIES
Jason Gannon, Commander
Jason Gannon is the Commander of the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force. Commander Gannon has been in law enforcement since 1993 and in the specialized field of drug enforcement since 2010. Prior to becoming Commander, he spent his career with the Coal Grove Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Chillicothe Police Department, and the Ross County Sheriff’s Office. During this time Commander Gannon has worked as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Corporal, Detective Sergeant, and Detective Lieutenant. Commander Gannon has also served on the Missing Persons Task Force, U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force, and Homeland Security Task Force. Commander Gannon is a member of the Ohio Task Force Commanders Association, Ohio NARCO, Ross County PORT, and the HOPE Partnership.
